Dearest Pam,
I just wanted to share with you how great my new family is. My name is Egan, I’m sure you remember me! I am the sweetest, smartest, best looking GSP ever! I’m also quite humble-bark, bark! Well, to get you up to date, when I first went with my new family, I must admit I was a little skeptical. They seemed goofy. But over time they grew on me. Now we are best chums. I do have to keep a close eye on them though, or they will wonder off. In fact, today was the first day that I took my family for walk without having to use their leash. They insist I share the couches with them, watch TV, root for the Redskins & Terps, go on long walks and sleep with my 14 year old brother, Sean. Because I am so well behaved they love to show off my talents. I sit, lay down, stay, fetch, shake, catch treats off my nose and come readily. I don’t bark unless someone knocks on the door and I don’t like to give kisses (lord knows what kind of germs humans carry!)
I recently had a soiree at the local dog park where I am the epitome of a gracious host. My best friends are “Butters”, “Chessy”, “Macy”, “Queeny” and of course the love of my life….”Roxy”. I am one of the fastest dogs and can jump higher than any other dog. In fact, the only dog that can beat me is “Lacey”. But how fair is that, she’s a Grey Hound!
I am so thankful that you placed me with this family. I was so upset that I didn’t have a home, and it was so kind of you to take me in, realize my potential and introduce me to my family. I will never forget you and what you’ve done for me. As soon as I get my humans completely trained I will come to visit. I’m actually working on convincing my family to adopt another dog. I’m quite partial to “Tucker”. He looks to be a fine playmate for me. Well, I must run-I see my Mom grabbing her car keys and you know what that means…..Time to be co-pilot! Boy, they keep me busy!
Keep up the good work!
Amy, Joe and family
